Reservation Deposit Policy and Payment Methods

This page explains our current reservation deposit policy and payment methods.

At YamaYado HUB, you are asked to register a credit card when making a reservation.
The accommodation fee is prepaid at the designated timing, and if your reservation is later changed or canceled, the difference will be refunded or any additional amount will be charged depending on the details.

The accommodation fee is prepaid by credit card at the following timing.

• If you make a reservation 31 or more days before your stay, the accommodation fee will be prepaid by credit card 30 days before your stay.

• If you make a reservation within 30 days of your stay, the accommodation fee will be prepaid by credit card at the time of booking.

• If the total amount increases, the additional amount will be charged based on the change.

• If the total amount decreases or you cancel, the difference or the applicable amount will be refunded after your stay or at the time of cancellation.

If payment of the accommodation fee has been completed, no further procedures are required for your stay.

If payment cannot be completed, we will contact you by email. Please follow the instructions in the email to re-register your credit card information.

About the Reservation Deposit Policy

The reservation deposit policy applies when a reservation is canceled.
It is not a system in which only the reservation deposit is charged in advance at the time of booking.

If you stay as reserved, your prepaid accommodation fee completes your payment.

Reservation Deposit Amount

  • Mountain Hut Stay (Adult): ¥3,000 per night
  • Tent Stay (Adult): ¥500 per night
  • Children / Infants: ¥0

Cancellations and Changes

Cancellations and Changes

If a reservation is canceled or changed, refunds or additional charges will be processed depending on the timing and details.

No reservation deposit applies if you cancel within 1 hour of booking or when 31 or more days remain before your stay.
For standard cancellations made within 30 days of your stay, the reservation deposit applies, and the balance after deducting the deposit will be refunded at the time of cancellation.

Refund timing depends on your credit card issuer, and it may take anywhere from a few days to more than one month for the refund to be completed.

If you cancel after 3:00 PM on the day of stay or do not show up, 100% of the accommodation fee will be charged.

About Reservation Changes

Whether a reservation can be changed depends on whether the reservation deposit already applies.
The number of bento meals and your hiking route can always be changed from My Page.

Before the Reservation Deposit Applies

Before the reservation deposit applies (when 31 or more days remain before your stay), if you wish to change the date, meal plan, room type, or similar details, please make a new reservation with your preferred details.

If you would like to reduce the number of guests, or if no rooms are available and you cannot make a new reservation, please contact us via the contact form.

After the Reservation Deposit Applies

After the reservation deposit applies (within 30 days of your stay), reservation changes can be made from My Page only if the required conditions are met.
The items that can be changed are the meal plan, room type, number of guests, and date.

  • Changes are limited to reservations for the same mountain hut
  • Up to 10 changes are allowed
  • Changes to a future stay date can be made until 3:00 PM on the day of use
  • Changes are available only within the same season and subject to the applicable conditions

Changes on the Day of Stay

On the day of your stay, changes to the meal plan or room type can no longer be made from My Page after same-day reservations close for each hut.
Changes to a future stay date can be made until 3:00 PM on the day of stay, subject to room availability.

For Groups of 10 or More / Corporate Use

Standard reservations require online booking and credit card registration.

If you are a private group of 10 or more and it is difficult for the representative to pay by credit card on behalf of the group, we can discuss individual arrangements.
If you are a company or school group and require payment by invoice, we can also discuss arrangements individually.

After confirming the details, we will guide you on options such as advance bank transfer or invoice payment.
Please note that for individually arranged bookings, the procedures, applicable conditions, and fees for changes and cancellations may differ from those of standard online reservations.
