I stayed here after hiking the Happo Kiretto Ridge. Since there were three of us, we paid a little extra to stay in a private room. Perhaps because it had been raining for a while, the lodge seemed to be quite full—I think it was nearly at capacity. Choosing a private room was definitely the right decision. Since the place was packed, we were able to talk and relax in the privacy of our room. It was also very convenient that the room had electrical outlets and USB charging ports. The curry for dinner was a bit spicy, but it came with sausages and was delicious. Breakfast had a traditional Japanese feel to it; it was warm and much appreciated. I ordered a bento box for lunch—it had salmon and vinegared rice—and it was delicious even when cold.

Thank you for your hospitality. This time, I stayed at the Silkworm Shelf. As for my thoughts on the room: The futon at the Silkworm Shelf was narrow, and there were no partitions, so I felt self-conscious about the person next to me and wasn’t able to get a good night’s sleep. I think it would be more comfortable if there were curtains or small partitions—what do you think? If I have the chance again, I’d love to stay with you, so I look forward to your hospitality. I could tell that the dining hall staff were always attentive. The food was delicious, too. Thanks to them, it was a great mountain hike.

The entire cabin felt clean and was very comfortable to stay in. I especially appreciated how clean the restroom was. Dinner was delicious, but it would have been even better if it had been served a little hotter. The boxed lunch was very tasty, and I was completely satisfied. I got a little flustered because the front desk used QR code payments. In the end, they processed my payment using my check-in number, but I realized that if I had prepared better in advance, the check-in process would have gone more smoothly. It was a really great mountain lodge. Thank you very much.

The bathroom and toilet are clean and comfortable, but there are too many people staying here, so the sleeping space is too cramped compared to other mountain huts these days.

I heard it had been renovated, and among all the mountain huts I’ve stayed in so far, the restrooms here were by far the cleanest. I was really impressed that they even had a Washlet. I stayed in a private room, which was new and clean, with electrical outlets and plenty of hangers. Dinner was simple—just curry and miso soup—but it filled me up. Breakfast had a good balance of side dishes. It’s quite popular, so it’s hard to get a reservation, but this has definitely become a mountain lodge I’d love to visit again. Check-in went smoothly since they used a tablet, so there were no lines—I was glad it went so well. Payment was by card, so that went smoothly, too. The room wasn’t crowded; it was a silkworm room, but it was spacious, which was nice. The bathroom was clean, and it felt great.

I visited the long-awaited Goryu Mountain Lodge in search of a slightly early fall foliage season. The receptionist’s warm welcome at check-in had me filled with anticipation for my stay at the lodge!! It rained that day, but thanks to the clean and incredibly powerful drying room, none of my clothes got wet. The meals came with seconds, and the miso soup was especially delicious!! The room, restroom, and washroom were all very clean. Thank you for seeing me off with a smile 😊

The curry rice, miso soup, and dessert for dinner were especially delicious, and of course, breakfast was great too. I also appreciated that I could have as many seconds as I wanted. The room was a bit cold, but I was glad there were working electrical outlets. I was very satisfied with the Wi-Fi on the first floor. I was also pleased with the drying room and the washlet in the restroom.
