Thank you for your hospitality. I really appreciated the 5:00 a.m. breakfast. It allowed me to take my time climbing to the summit. We stayed in the "Silkworm Racks" room, which has a capacity for seven but only had three of us, so it was very spacious. However, I imagine it would feel cramped if it got crowded.

While it’s not impossible to make a day trip from the Tomi Ridge, I figured that since I was going to climb it anyway, I wanted to see the spectacular views—and it would be a waste to rush back down—so I decided to stay here overnight. It’s an excellent base for heading to the summit of Mt. Goryu. The first day was foggy, but thankfully, on the second day, we were blessed with perfect, clear skies from before dawn—better than we could have hoped for. Both Mt. Goryu bathed in the morning glow and the 360-degree panorama from the summit were absolutely stunning. The lodge is beautifully maintained, the meals are delicious, and you can even have seconds. I was truly impressed that they manage to provide such a high level of service in this location. I even commented to another guest, “Isn’t it a real treat to have a meal like this first thing in the morning!” The staff welcomed us with smiles and were very friendly. I could even hear cheerful conversations coming from the dishwashing area (laughs). I’ve been staying in Hakuba since this spring, and this has become a place filled with wonderful memories. I hope I’ll have another chance to visit, and if I do, I look forward to your hospitality once again.

I thought it might be better for those of us who aren’t exactly young if they served a slightly smaller portion of rice with the curry for dinner at first (though I do appreciate that we can get seconds).

I stayed at the Kaiko Room this time. The staff were all very kind and told me all sorts of things, such as the origin of the name “Mt. Gorō.” I also want to thank you for letting me use the dining room even though it was raining, and for adjusting my check-out time to accommodate me.

Overall, it was good. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious. The umeboshi had a refreshing aroma and just the right amount of tartness—I really liked it. The room at Kaikodana was clean, but if possible, I’d like the sleeping area to be a little more spacious. I couldn’t even roll over in bed.

Thank you for making my climb a success. We stayed in the second level of the “Kaiko Room.” However, since the space was only about half as wide as the communal sleeping areas in other mountain huts, we had to be considerate of the person next to us, which made it difficult to fall asleep. I also noticed that my footsteps echoed through the floor while I was lying down. Please address these issues in the future.

The mountain cabin was in a great location with amazing views, and we had a wonderful time there and made some great memories.

It was a wonderful mountain lodge! The staff were kind and greeted us with big, cheerful smiles. Their smiles are what left the strongest impression on me! It really lifts your spirits. The place had been renovated; the second floor had a cottage-style feel, with stylish indirect lighting, and the restrooms were very comfortable, equipped with Washlet toilets. The reservation system was convenient, too. Since I had some points, I booked a shared room. It was a big help that I could use my card at the gift shop. I bought a cute tenugui as a souvenir! Both breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious! Although there isn’t a lounge, you can relax in the dining hall until meal prep begins. If I may be a bit indulgent, I’d be over the moon if they offered a café menu here, like a cake set. I’ve found yet another mountain lodge that I absolutely love. I’d love to stay here again!
