I climbed from the Great Snowfield for the first time. I was having trouble connecting to the internet at the front desk, but someone kindly told me, “The Wi-Fi works here,” so I was able to check in smoothly. After listening to the briefing, I took a leisurely rest in my room. I changed clothes and had a drink at Sky Plaza, where I had a great time chatting with people I’d met on the mountain. I finished everything on my plate—the miso soup was so delicious I even had seconds! ♪ After dinner, I went for a stroll to look at the flowers when, to my surprise, a ptarmigan appeared right at my feet! I’m so glad I got to see it! Thank you. Thank you for your hospitality.

This was my first time staying here. As you’d expect from a place that’s been around for 120 years, the atmosphere was great and I had a very comfortable stay. I was surprised at how clean the restrooms were. There were some areas under construction, so I’m sure it will continue to improve and become an even better mountain lodge. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Since it wasn’t busy, they upgraded my room for me. The view of Mt. Tsurugi from the room was absolutely amazing. Everyone at the inn was so nice—it was the best. The restroom was great, too! It was just like the restrooms at a shopping mall. While the whole of Japan was struggling with two typhoons hitting at once, Hakuba was sunny and practically empty—I don’t know what it would be like if it were crowded, but but anyway, it was quiet and relaxing—I was so happy. I wish they’d provided soy sauce for the mackerel at breakfast. The miso soup was incredibly delicious! The rice was cooked to perfection! Natto, nori, and the view! I have absolutely no complaints—it became a memory I’ll cherish for a lifetime. I’ll definitely be back.

When I arrived in the cold rain and headed to the front desk, I was greeted with a smile and such kindness that it warmed my heart. The lecture celebrating the 120th anniversary was a real treat—I enjoyed hearing stories about the previous generation! Also, when I was shopping at Sky Plaza and asked the cashier about the next day’s weather, they looked it up right away—they were truly kind. I’m so happy I got to stay at such a wonderful mountain lodge on its 120th anniversary. Dinner, breakfast, and the boxed lunch I ate on the way down were all delicious, and it’s become a wonderful memory I’ll never forget♪

I had no idea that mountain huts and lodges actually had twin rooms. I was lucky enough to book one, and when I stayed there, it was just like a hotel! The staff were wonderful, the food was delicious, and I was able to sleep soundly in my room without worrying about other guests, so I was able to fully recover from my fatigue and enjoy a pleasant hike. Thank you very much.

I stayed there just before the lodge closed for the season. The staff at Mammoth Lodge were very kind and made a good impression on me, but I do think the pillows need some improvement. They were floppy and didn’t feel like proper pillows to me. Other than that, I had a comfortable stay at the lodge.

It was a clean twin room with plenty of space. Although there was no air conditioning, blankets were provided, so I didn't feel cold. The meals were delicious, and the portions were generous. Above all, the staff's dedication really put me in a good mood.
