I think this was the largest mountain hut I’ve ever stayed in. There were a lot of tour groups, and even though dinner was served in shifts, it felt like an assembly line, just like in a school cafeteria. Still, I was surprised to find that the water from the faucet was drinkable and that toothpaste was available. The hut was clean and nice.

From StaffSounds like this may have felt like the largest mountain lodge you've stayed at. Dinner runs on a rotating seating system, so we understand that might have felt a bit like a rush. Many guests are surprised the tap water is drinkable straight from the faucet and safe for brushing your teeth too — it's one of the things we're quite proud of. The staff were wonderful, and the facility was clean. The food was delicious, and the restrooms didn't smell. I think everything was wonderful.

It was a very informative lecture that allowed me to learn about the history of Hakuba Sanso and discover its official name. I also thoroughly enjoyed the cello and piano performance at the restaurant and had a wonderful time. Even though it’s a mountain lodge, it was equipped with a Washlet, making for a very comfortable stay. Thank you very much. I look forward to staying there again.

It was really great. The view was beautiful—it was absolutely amazing. I was lucky enough to catch a "Tenku Classic" concert, and it was truly moving.

I only had dinner, but everything was absolutely delicious. The staff guided us smoothly through the seating order, so we were able to eat right away, which was very satisfying. It had been a while since I’d stayed at a mountain lodge, and I was impressed by how clean the restrooms were—they even had bidets. Since the semi-private rooms had some available, they didn’t seat us next to each other but spaced us out by about one room apart, which I think made for a very comfortable stay.
