A mystical lake inhabited by rare Japanese black salamanders, rock ptarmigans that can be encountered along Raichō-zaka, and vibrant alpine plants.
Surrounded by rich and beautiful nature, it is loved by many hikers as a base for traversing to Mt. Hakuba.
