First of all, I’d like to thank the people who built this place in such a location and those who maintain it. The service was great, the food was delicious, and since it’s right in the middle of Kireto, there weren’t many people—which made it a really nice experience. The interior was also very clean and comfortable.
From StaffThank you very much for staying at Happo Kiretto Hut! Your words of appreciation for maintaining a mountain hut in such a remote location truly touched us. They mean a great deal to everyone on our team. We're also delighted to hear that you enjoyed our hospitality, meals, and the cleanliness of the hut. It's wonderful that you were able to experience the peaceful atmosphere that makes Happo Kiretto so special. We look forward to welcoming you again in the Japanese Alps. Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience!

I’m dissatisfied with the attitude and customer service of the person in charge at the front desk—someone who acted all high and mighty. I’m really upset by the condescending way they treated me, as if to say, “You’ll understand if you just read this!” It was a cabin I’d really wanted to stay at, so I even shortened my itinerary to make a special reservation there, but it was a real letdown.
From StaffThank you very much for staying at Happo Kiretto Hut. We sincerely apologize that our reception did not meet your expectations, especially after you adjusted your itinerary and made a reservation to stay with us. We believe every guest should be welcomed with courtesy and respect, and we are sorry that we let you down. We take your comments seriously and will use them to review and improve our approach to customer service. Thank you for taking the time to share your honest feedback.

Anyway, the food was delicious. Since I didn't get to see the sunset, I'd like to visit again to see it.
From StaffThank you very much for staying at Happo Kiretto Hut! We were thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the meals so much. Your kind words will mean a lot to our kitchen staff. We're sorry you didn't get to see the sunset this time. The mountains offer a different view every day, and we hope you'll be rewarded with a beautiful sunset on your next visit. We look forward to seeing you again in the Japanese Alps!

I stopped by during a mountain trek that started at Happo-one, continued along a traverse of Mt. Karamatsu, Mt. Goryu, and Mt. Kashima-Yarigatake, and ended with a descent to Ogizawa. Since it was the last day of a long weekend and the mountain hut is located on a challenging route, it wasn’t crowded at all, so I was able to enjoy plenty of space (it was fun because everyone staying there was a true mountaineer). The Wi-Fi was available to the public, and I was able to use my credit card to purchase water and other items, which was a huge help. I was also pleasantly surprised by how delicious the meals were. I opted for a bento box for breakfast, which was also delicious, and thanks to that, I was able to make it down safely. Thank you very much. I highly recommend this lodge for treks that pass through the Happo Kirettsu.
From StaffThank you very much for staying at Happo Kiretto Hut! We're delighted that our hut provided a comfortable stop during your traverse from Happo Ridge through Mt. Karamatsu, Mt. Goryu, Mt. Kashimayari, and Mt. Jiigatake. We're also glad that our Wi-Fi, credit card payment service, meals, and takeaway breakfast were helpful. Most of all, we're happy to hear that you completed your trek safely. If your adventures bring you across the Happo Kiretto again, we'd be delighted to welcome you back. We look forward to seeing you again in the Japanese Alps.

Even though it's a mountain lodge in Kiretto, the dinner was of amazing quality. They explained the lights-out time when we checked in, but I wish they would make an announcement when it's time to turn off the lights.
From StaffThank you very much for staying at Kiretto Hut. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed our meals and felt they exceeded your expectations for a mountain hut. Your kind words are a great encouragement to our team. Thank you also for sharing your valuable feedback regarding lights-out time. We hope you will visit the Hakuba area in the Northern Alps again and enjoy another wonderful mountain adventure. We look forward to seeing you again.

I arrived quite early, but the staff were very kind and accommodating. The facilities were clean, so I felt comfortable using them. The free Wi-Fi was very convenient. I was able to check the weather forecast easily, which was a huge help. Dinner was delicious—not just the hamburger steak, but also the rice, miso soup, and pickles; I was completely satisfied with everything. The bento box was delicious, too. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Do you think it’s harder to run this place compared to areas with more hikers (overnight guests)? The prices and service were just as good as ever.

We will continue striving to provide a comfortable stay for all our guests. We look forward to welcoming you back on your next adventure in the Japanese Alps.

I stayed here on a weekday. Since there weren’t many guests, I was able to use an entire section of the silkworm racks all to myself, which was very comfortable. The changing room was a huge help, and the restrooms were very clean. I’d definitely stay here again if I have the chance.
Thank you very much for staying at Happo Kiretto Hut! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed a quiet and comfortable stay during the weekday, and that you found the bunk space comfortable. We're also pleased that the changing room and restrooms were helpful and comfortable for you. We'll continue working to keep our facilities clean and welcoming for all our guests.
