I stayed here for two nights—the day before my hike to Hakuba Oike and the day after I came down from the mountain. The room was bright, and the bathroom and shower were clean. Especially after coming down from the mountain, I was able to check into my room early and take a shower, which helped soothe the fatigue from the hike. Since we were staying for two nights, they kindly adjusted the dinner menu and prepared separate meals for us—I really appreciated their thoughtfulness. It’s close to Tsugaike Nature Park, where the flowers and scenery change with the seasons, so I’d like to stay here again the next time I visit the park.

At dinner on July 30, the woman who poured my draft beer created a creamy head just like you’d find at a beer hall. It was fantastic. The man who poured my second glass used a pouring technique typical of a regular bar, which was a bit disappointing. Dinner was delicious, but I thought it might have been nice to have one more dish. In the morning, I was able to leave my luggage there, and after walking around the nature park, I returned and was given drinking water—the staff’s service was very polite and pleasant. I’d love to visit again.

It was the best place to stay on the way from Hakuba Sanso. The water was really delicious.

The room with the bunk beds was nice, but it felt a little stuffy.
