    The explanations provided during check-in and about the facilities were very thorough and easy to understand. The dinner portions were more than enough. The breakfast bento was also plenty, but considering the selection of side dishes, it seemed a bit pricey—though I suppose that’s just how it is in the mountains.

    I stayed in a shared room with bunk beds. I had the top bunk. It was narrower than I expected. I wish there had been a shelf or something. Plus, there was a gap between the bed and the wall, so there was a chance things might fall through to the floor. And above all, the room was hot and smelled of sweat. The futon felt sticky, too. So, it’s a good idea to bring a mask and a fitted sheet. I took a bath after dinner and had the place all to myself. That was nice, but since I’d been sweating so much while sleeping, it was a wash…

    Check-in went very smoothly, and the instructions were easy to understand. Since there were only two groups of guests, including myself, we were able to have an entire room to ourselves, which allowed us to relax and fully enjoy our time at Tsugaike Nature Park. I’ll definitely be staying here again next year.
