The staff were all so cheerful and friendly—it was a warm mountain lodge that lifted my spirits just by being there. The meals were hearty and absolutely delicious. I was already grateful just to be able to enjoy a hot meal up in the mountains, but I left completely full and thoroughly satisfied. What surprised me was the restroom facilities. There were four stalls equipped with Washlet bidets, so there were no long lines—it was incredibly comfortable. Furthermore, there’s even a changing room located at the back of the restroom area. This time, I stayed in the “Kaiko-dana” room. Since the room is packed with people, I found it a bit difficult to spread out my luggage and organize it right there. I recommend sorting out the items you’ll need inside the cabin into separate bags or containers beforehand. Also, since everyone wakes up at different times, I found that earplugs and an eye mask were essential for a good night’s sleep. With its excellent facilities and wonderful staff, this is a mountain lodge I’d definitely love to stay at again.

Thank you for your hospitality. The staff were all very kind. The curry was absolutely delicious. The restrooms were so clean that I almost forgot I was up in the mountains. I was a little bothered that there were no sheets on the futons. But since I brought my own fitted sheet, it wasn’t a problem… I’d love to stay here again.

The staff were very kind, and both the room and the restroom were clean, so I felt completely at ease during my stay. I wasn’t able to see the beautiful view of Mount Goryu, so I’d like to come back and try again. When I do, I’ll definitely stay here again.

The hospitality at the inn—especially in the dining room—was very pleasant. The dining room doubled as a lounge, and the free Wi-Fi allowed me to share photos of the majestic mountain scenery on Instagram. My room, the “Goryu,” was as clean as if it were brand-new, and it was well-insulated—it was warm enough to sleep in without having to bundle up. Although a large group across the hall on the same floor had their doors open and were talking loudly, closing my door provided good sound insulation. The bathroom was clean. The room had plenty of USB ports and AC outlets, which was a huge help.

・Restroom It’s great that it has a Washlet, but it was a shame that it wouldn’t turn on during our early morning departure—perhaps due to the lights-out time—so it was a wasted feature. It worked comfortably while the power was on, though. ・Sink Area Please consider making accommodations for contact lens wearers. The sink near the entrance to the drying room has no mirror. The handwashing area in the restroom is also pitch black during lights-out hours. Since it’s difficult to put in contact lenses without light shining on the area around my eyes, I wanted to shine a light on my face, but there was nowhere to secure a headlamp. Because I needed both hands to insert the lenses, I couldn’t hold the lamp either, so it was very difficult and time-consuming. I also ended up inconveniencing other guests. It would be best to provide a place to set the headlamp or install lighting above the mirror that illuminates the face even after the lights are turned off. ・Packing Area When packing for an early morning departure, it disturbs people who are still asleep, so it would be helpful to have a dedicated packing area. Should I have just done it in the dining hall? ・Dinner The all-you-can-eat curry is wonderful. Please definitely keep this going. It tastes great, too. ・Cancellation Fees I understand this is unavoidable from a business perspective, but since bad weather is the main reason for cancellations, I’d like to request that rescheduling to another date be valid until next season.
