Even though it was very crowded, the staff were incredibly kind during check-in, which left a great impression on me. You don’t often find people this polite even down in the city, so I was really touched. Also, the bento was absolutely delicious. That night, someone was there to explain the stars as I gazed at them, making my first time staying at a mountain hut an unforgettable experience. Thank you so much!

The restroom was flushable and clean! Also, it was close to the summit, and the view was absolutely breathtaking!!!

Even though the weather wasn't great, we had a wonderful time at the mountain lodge. We even got the 120th-anniversary sticker, making it a truly memorable stay.

This is my second time staying at the mountain hut. This time, I ordered beef stew for dinner. I was able to enjoy a luxurious time at the summit. It’s a memory I’ll cherish for the rest of my life.

The mountain lodge was even more beautiful and comfortable than I had imagined. The miso soup for dinner was especially delicious~ The only downside was that someone who entered the reception area while still wearing a bear bell was scolded quite harshly. I was tired from the hike when I arrived, and even though I was trying to take it off, I couldn’t get it off properly—so it was really disappointing to be scolded even more harshly. I wondered why they didn’t say anything at all to the people who came in after me... So, you should definitely take off your bear bell before you reach the front desk. Other than that, it was a really great stay.

I was surprised by the large number of guests, but the service and facilities were excellent, and I had a wonderful time. A medical student from Showa Medical University who was stationed there carefully treated the thorns in my hand, allowing me to face the next day with peace of mind. Blessed with good weather, it turned out to be the best mountain hike of my life.

I stayed in a large shared room for several nights. The personal space in the room was just big enough for a small futon and my luggage. Since there was no one in the bed next to me, I was able to rest well. First of all, the cheerful welcome I received at the front desk made me feel at ease—it was actually quite soothing. Thank you very much. I spent a long time at the mountain lodge, and the lounge had books, so I was able to relax. It might have actually been a good thing that there was no Rakuten cell service. The weather was fine, as the Yamaten forecast was posted. I was surprised to find a Washlet in the restroom. The sink is big enough to brush your teeth—I really appreciated that. Meals were served efficiently, so even large groups didn’t have to wait long. That said, it didn’t feel impersonal—the staff were considerate enough to offer seconds, and there were special menus for guests staying multiple nights, which was great. We had lunch at the Sky Restaurant. It felt like a space you wouldn’t expect to find on top of a mountain. There are spots right nearby where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets and sunrises, and the flower fields are right behind and right in front of the lodge. We had a very satisfying mountain trip. The pork steak for dinner was absolutely delicious. Dining at Sky Plaza while taking in the spectacular view was also wonderful. The restrooms were clean and comfortable. Although the futons in the large room were a bit narrow, they were perfectly adequate. I’d love to visit again.
