    This was my first time staying here. As a first-time mountain lodge guest, I really appreciated the staff taking the time to explain everything to me so thoroughly. The room was just the right size for one person, and I had a very comfortable stay. The food was delicious. I’d love to stay here again.

    The cake set at Sky Plaza was delicious and really soothed me. Since the weather was bad, it was nice to have a place to rest. If I could make one suggestion, I’d love it if the staff could say a few words to everyone—anything at all—from the cabin during meals.

    It was my first time staying at a mountain lodge. I can’t compare it to others, but the dormitory-style room felt just like second-class on a ferry, and I had no real issues during my stay. I couldn’t eat much this time, so I didn’t try it, but I thought the fact that you could get unlimited refills of rice and miso soup was a big plus. The chocolate terrine—which cost extra—was delicious.

    I was worried that the room might be cramped since it was only 2 tatami mats in size, but because there were separate areas for storing luggage and futons, it was actually very comfortable to live in.

    On July 26, we encountered a violent storm while in the mountains. When we finally made it to the lodge, we met a female front desk clerk from “Taiwan” who spoke Chinese. It was a real comfort to our exhausted bodies and minds at that moment. Thank you for her care and assistance! (P.S. The drying room where we stayed that night didn’t dry our clothes well enough.)

    We visited as a group. I was surprised to see how clean the restrooms were. We had a very comfortable experience. Since it was raining, we used the drying room, but I wish there had been a few more hangers. It seemed like there were quite a few mix-ups with people taking the wrong items, so I think name tags would be helpful.

    Overall, it was good. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, and the portions were generous. The dining hall’s efficient service was excellent. Even though they were busy, the dining hall staff were kind; they explained the dinner procedures clearly and were quick to provide seconds. As for areas for improvement, I’d suggest making the restrooms in Building 2 flushable, just like those in Building 3, and adding more drying rooms.
