I stayed here for two nights and three days this time. On the third day, a storm kept us from going outside, so we spent the whole time at Sky Plaza. It was such a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere with all the other concertgoers that time flew by in the blink of an eye. The concert was absolutely amazing—thank you so much, Hakuba Sanso.

This was my first time staying here! First of all, I was amazed by the sheer size of the place! I couldn’t believe a mountain lodge like this actually existed! I was thrilled to find that the restrooms had flush toilets and bidet seats! The interior was very clean, and I was surprised to find a restaurant called “Suke Plaza” on the premises! If I had to nitpick, I’d personally like them to change the pillows! It’s a place I’d definitely stay at again!

I stayed in a shared Japanese-style room so I could go see the Super Mountaineering Club's live performance. The futons were just enough to get by on. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, and I really appreciated that I could get free seconds.

The woman at the front desk was cheerful and kind. The restrooms were clean, the sinks were spacious, and I appreciated being able to fill up on drinking water. Our departure was at 4:00 a.m., so it was difficult to get ready in the pitch-black room while my roommate was still asleep, and it was a bit inconvenient that the lights in the changing room didn’t turn on. Also, the round pickles that came in the morning bento were really delicious. I wonder what they were. I’d even like to buy some to eat.

Just being able to sleep on a futon in a private tatami-mat room at that high-altitude mountain lodge was more than I could have asked for! I was also grateful that the restroom was clean and didn’t smell. The food was delicious, too—I was especially happy that breakfast included pickles and oyaki, which are unique to Nagano. Having warm miso soup served both morning and night wasn’t just delicious—it truly warmed my heart and put me at ease. I can confidently recommend this place to others, and I’d love to stay there again myself.

Since it's a large establishment with many guests, it's understandable that there isn't much interaction with the staff, but the service at the Sky Lounge and the relaxed atmosphere were both excellent.

On the positive side, the Washlet in the restroom was fantastic, and I had a comfortable stay at the mountain lodge. The service was also excellent. If I had one complaint, it would be about the semi-private room: I’m not sure if the guests on either side of me were first-time mountain lodge visitors, but it was disruptive when they crunched on trail snacks or ate the provided boxed lunches in the room. I wish they had been given a reminder about this during check-in.
