I'm dissatisfied with the number of people assigned to each shared room. The futons feel damp. Since no one asked us for inner sheets at check-in, I wonder if some people aren't using them.

Thank you so much for everything. I was shivering from the cold after being caught in the rain and wind, and I’m truly grateful for the staff’s kindness—they provided me with a blanket, a hot water bottle, and warm tea. I hope the weather is better next time.

It was my first time staying here, and after arriving from a hike in bad weather, I was truly grateful for the staff’s thoughtfulness—they offered me hot water, let me warm up by the stove, encouraged me to take off my boots, and even provided sandals. The restrooms were clean, with almost no odor, and I appreciated that they were separated by gender. I stayed in a semi-private room, but it was a bit of a problem that water droplets from condensation on the window dripped onto my face while I was sleeping. Since the reservation system didn’t allow me to select “Hakuba Sanso” as the arrival point for my hiking route, I sent an email to inquire, but I couldn’t quite understand the reply.

I stayed in Room 16, a Japanese-style room in Building 2. The self-catering kitchen was right next door, and the dining hall and restrooms were also nearby, which was very convenient. It was a very clean mountain lodge, the meals were delicious, and my husband and children were delighted with the comfort of the restrooms, which had Washlet bidets. However, the futons were narrow and thin, and the comforters were also thin, so even in late August, we were cold at night with just one futon and one comforter per person. Since I’ve rarely stayed in mountain huts, this might be standard, but I think we would have been able to rest more thoroughly with slightly sturdier bedding. My child loved the cheesecake at Sky Plaza—which we’d been looking forward to—so much that we had another slice after dinner while enjoying the view of Mt. Tsurugi and the sunset. Thanks to you, we were able to enjoy a safe and memorable mountain climb. Thank you very much.

Dinner was wonderful. I arrived late for check-in, but they provided me with a takeout dinner. Not only that, but they also gave me some pork miso soup and hot tea, which felt great on my chilled body.

I stayed overnight on the day of the Super Mountain Climbing Club’s live performance. The show was truly amazing—it really moved me! Dinner after the show was delicious—the tender meat and the pork miso soup packed with ingredients were especially good. I was also surprised by how clean the restrooms were. Before the sun set, I was also moved by the view stretching out from in front of the lodge. I’d love to visit again! Thank you very much.

We used this facility during the Super Mountaineering Club live event. Above all, the restrooms were clean, and it was great that we were able to use the water. I also recommend Sky Plaza because it’s a great place to relax. The beef stew was delicious, too. Thank you very much.

Around 6:30 a.m. on September 6, the middle-aged woman handling check-out had the worst customer service attitude, leaving me with a very unpleasant experience at the end of what had otherwise been a wonderful stay. Due to a misunderstanding on her part, she told me there was a boxed lunch included and demanded I produce a lunch voucher I hadn’t even received. She spoke in a confrontational tone, insisting, “There’s no way I didn’t give it to you.” She accused me of lying, spoke rudely, and offered no apology. I really hope she takes a cue from the young woman who checked me in—her warm, smiling hospitality is something she should definitely emulate.

This was my first time staying here. Since it had been a hike on a day with heavy rain and strong winds, my body had started to get cold by the time I arrived at the lodge. I was so grateful when the staff handed me a cup of hot water, telling me, “You can keep your rain gear on—just come inside quickly.” To my surprise, the room had tatami mats; it was a very cozy space with the scent of wood, and I was able to rest comfortably.
