They said lights out was at 8:00 p.m., but since the lights never actually went out, I thought maybe they could extend the lights-out time a little.

I was surprised to find that it felt more like a hotel than a mountain lodge. I stayed there the night before my trip, and I was able to take a stroll through the nature park, enjoy a relaxing bath, and savor delicious meals—all of which made for a very comfortable stay.

I slept on the top bunk in the shared room. The ladder was very steep, and the top rung was hard to grip, so I had a bit of a hard time getting up and down.

It was originally a shared room for four people, but since there weren’t many guests, I was happy to be able to use it as if it were a private room. The service and meals are on par with those at a traditional inn, and you can even take a bath there, so I’d highly recommend it to anyone staying at a mountain lodge for the first time.

The inn was clean and tidy, and the futons were fluffy, so I was able to rest comfortably. The meals were delicious and the portions were generous. I love curry, so I was happy to be able to have some.

This was my first time staying at a mountain hut for two nights. Since it was my first time hiking in this area and my first time staying at a hut, I had mixed feelings of excitement and anxiety, but the staff were incredibly kind and provided detailed updates on hiking conditions, which was a huge help. In addition, the rooms and all the other facilities were clean, so I would definitely recommend this place for anyone staying at a mountain hut for the first time. I’d love to come back next season.

I stayed here the night before climbing Mt. Hakuba. I really appreciated the location—the trailhead was right nearby, and I was able to enjoy a bath. Personally, I was very satisfied with the delicious breakfast and dinner (the hot pot was fantastic). It was also great to refresh myself with a day-use bath after coming down the mountain. I’d definitely like to stay here again when I plan another hike starting from Tsugaike. Thank you very much.

I stayed in a private room. The room and bedding were very clean, and I had a very pleasant stay. The bathroom was clean and featured a whirlpool tub, which was perfect for soothing the fatigue from hiking in the mountains. The meals were delicious and hearty. The inn itself was clean and comfortable. There was a heater near the TV area on the first floor, so after dinner, I spent some time there watching TV while warming up. I’d definitely like to stay here again.
