    ・The staff were older, but everyone was very kind. ・They gave me clear instructions on how to put on the crampons, so I was able to put them on smoothly when I actually tried it on the snow.

    I stayed at the Shirumajiri campground. The restrooms were clean. The campground was spacious and not very crowded, which was nice. As for the water, I’d heard it was safe to drink if boiled, so I made sure to bring enough to drink at Sarukura and boiled the rest for cooking. However, I saw what looked like mosquito larvae—or some kind of insect—moving around in the water, which made me feel queasy. I wasn’t sure if it was really safe to drink.

We are sorry that you had an unpleasant experience at the water station. As the water comes from a natural mountain source, small aquatic creatures may occasionally be present.
