Although it’s a small cabin in a tight spot, it doesn’t feel cramped inside. I’ve stayed here many times, and both the staff and the food are great—I always have a wonderful time. The view of Mt. Tsurugi from here is beautiful.

I would like to express my respect for our predecessors who built such a magnificent cabin in this narrow space nestled between the steep cliffs to the north and south. The cabin was spotlessly clean from top to bottom, and although it was described as “old,” I didn’t feel that at all— I think it really helped me unwind. Thank you very much.

I stayed here on Monday. Overall, it made a very clean impression. The sleeping space (for one person) was a bit cramped, but since it was a weekday and there weren’t many guests, the spots on both sides of me were empty, so I had plenty of room. Dinner was delicious, and I had seconds until I was full. As for water, a 500-ml bottle of mineral water cost 700 yen, but 500 ml of sterilized rainwater was 300 yen, so I bought that instead. We were blessed with good weather and enjoyed a traverse from Mt. Kashima-Yarigatake to Hachimine Kirettō and on to Mt. Goryū.

We had to stay an extra night because of the typhoon. Thank you for your kind assistance in arranging a change of lodging for our next stay.

It was very clean, and the food was delicious—we really enjoyed it. Since we were a group of women, we all had a bit of trouble changing clothes, and we all agreed it would be nice to have a curtain—even if we had to pay for it.

It was right next to the stairs, right next to the staff room. I could hear the staff room door opening and closing in the middle of the night and early in the morning, and it woke me up every time. I know it can’t be helped, but since there’s a curtain rod, I think it might have helped at least a little if they had put up curtains. The meals were delicious, and I was very satisfied.

Between Kashimayari and Goryu—I’m so grateful this lodge is there in a place like that! Running a lodge in such a harsh environment must be tough, but the hospitality and service were excellent. If I may be so bold, I think having curtains in the shared rooms would allow guests to change clothes and do other things in private by closing the curtains. Without this lodge, I might not have been able to tackle that route. Thank you very much.

Even though we caused you trouble due to a booking mistake, we’re very grateful that you accommodated us so smoothly. We all had a comfortable stay, including a friend who hadn’t stayed in a mountain hut in 10 years. Incense was burning in the restroom, and music played during meals—it was very stylish. It was convenient to have free Wi-Fi and the ability to use PayPay. Although there weren’t any light snacks available, the shrimp in chili sauce and the fried chicken in the bento box were so delicious that I couldn’t help but exclaim, “Yum!” out loud on the hiking trail. Of course, the evening meal was delicious as well, and since meals are one of the highlights of the trip, I’m glad everything turned out so well. The space per person in the “Kaiko” room was plenty spacious. Since this isn’t a mountain hut we get to visit very often, my friends and I bought T-shirts as souvenirs. I plan to treasure them.
