I stayed in a semi-private room. Although sounds carried easily, I was able to maintain my privacy and had a very comfortable stay. The bathrooms were clean, and the woman at the front desk was very friendly—it was a truly pleasant experience. It was also a valuable experience to hear Mr. Kikuchi speak at the restaurant that evening. I’d love to stay here again. Thank you very much!

I stayed in a semi-private room from August 7th to 8th. First and foremost, the restrooms were incredibly clean—that was a huge plus. That alone made me want to stay there again; overall, it was a great experience. It’s truly impressive how they managed to serve that many guests for dinner so quickly. If I had to mention one thing, it would be the front desk. Since this mountain lodge boasts such a large capacity, I thought it would be nice if they had a few more staff members at the front desk to make things run more smoothly.

It was nice that I chose a semi-private room and was shielded from prying eyes, but the sounds from the entire floor carried clearly into my room. I couldn’t sleep because I could hear people setting their alarms at 3 a.m., packing their bags, and eating their lunches, so I ended up sleep-deprived. I don’t think it’s the inn’s fault, but under these circumstances, a large dormitory-style room for about 10 people might have been a better choice.

The two meals and the bento were delicious. The futon was clean, too. I really appreciated the thoughtful touch of leaving a small light on in the hallway even after lights-out.

The three of us stayed in a private room. It was a very clean and comfortable room, and we were able to get a good night’s sleep. I was also incredibly impressed by how clean the restroom was. I’m grateful that you operate such a facility right at the summit.

Even though our arrival was delayed due to our own lack of thorough planning, the staff welcomed us with concern for the three of us and were flexible despite our arrival after dinner time—which made this mountain climb a wonderful memory. The restrooms were clean, and we had a comfortable stay. There was also an exhibition on the history of the mountain hut, which deepened my appreciation for the mountaineering culture built by those who came before us.

Upon arrival, I was delighted to be greeted by a smiling receptionist who said, “Thank you for your hard work today!” The tour of the room and the facility, along with the explanation of the rules, was easy to understand, and check-in went smoothly. I slept very well in the compact private room. I was very satisfied with both dinner and breakfast. However, I was a bit puzzled by the instruction that we had to go to the back of the line to get seconds of rice and miso soup. The staff members in charge of rice and miso soup clearly had time to spare, so it would have been perfectly possible to ask for seconds in between their tasks—and that would likely have improved the overall flow as well. The next morning, I wanted a second helping of miso soup, but I decided against it because it seemed like a waste of time. It was such a comfortable stay that this is really the only minor suggestion I have!
