The room was very cold. I suppose that’s to be expected at this time of year. Thankfully, the lounge was heated. But since the heat wasn’t on at night, I spent the night shivering until morning.

The flush toilets were very comfortable and much appreciated. I found the president’s daughter’s lecture very interesting, and I hope you’ll continue to hold some kind of lecture every evening. We need a space where guests can relax after dinner. I think it would be great if you could add more cushions and lighting. I expect that overseas tour groups will continue to dominate the space, but please make sure to create an environment that accommodates everyone.

I ordered a bento box for lunch this time, and it was both hearty and delicious. Since this year marks the 120th anniversary, I had the opportunity to hear about the history of the mountain hut at Ristoran, making for a truly rewarding hiking experience.

I stayed in a semi-private room. The food was very delicious and satisfying. The pork miso soup for dinner, in particular, was absolutely fantastic. The service was generally polite, but it was a shame that I noticed some staff members looked visibly tired, while others seemed to offer only perfunctory greetings. Perhaps because there were many Chinese guests in the semi-private room, they were talking very loudly, which was unpleasant. I understand it was just before lights out, so it couldn’t be helped, but they could have spoken a little more quietly. I even felt that, if possible, the Chinese guests should have been grouped together in one area.

Even though I checked in late, the staff treated me with great courtesy, making for a very pleasant stay. It was a mountain lodge that made me want to stay there again.

I was glad the check-in process went smoothly. I booked a semi-private room; while the screen at the entrance and other features were nice, unfortunately, sound carried very easily, and the snoring from the guests on both sides was so loud that I couldn’t sleep well. I was also bothered by the voices of guests arriving late and the pattering sound of slippers at night. I think rooms were assigned on a first-come, first-served basis depending on the room type, but I think the challenge is figuring out how to make the process less stressful. As for meals, I think they managed to serve large groups of guests efficiently. I was also surprised to find that the restrooms were much more comfortable than they used to be.

I've been there a few times. The view is great, the food is delicious, and the location is just right—it's a place where you can really relax.

I stayed at the Hakuba-dake Mountain Lodge in early October. It started sleeting, so my clothes got a little wet, but I was able to dry them in the drying room. My room was a traditional Japanese-style room, and since there were no other guests, I was able to relax. Breakfast offered a wide variety of side dishes; I couldn’t finish my oyaki, so I took it with me and ate it for lunch.

Thank you for your hospitality. We had reserved a shared private room for our group of four, but we were shown to a 6-tatami-mat private room all to ourselves. It was the first time I was able to sleep during a mountain climbing trip that included an overnight stay. Thank you very much. The woman and man who checked us in were both very pleasant and kind. The dining hall staff also greeted us cheerfully, and this two-day, one-night stay completely changed my perception of mountain huts. It was the best mountain hut I’ve ever stayed at.
