The atmosphere in the dining hall was wonderful, and I had a comfortable and enjoyable time there. The food was also very delicious. If I had to mention one thing, I thought it might be easier to identify the guests if their names were included on the signed cards displayed throughout the lodge.

Very friendly, helpful staff! My private room was spacious, the futon comfortable, and although there were many people in the entire facility it was quiet and l could sleep well. Dinner was very delicious and l could even have vegetarian curry, as l don’t eat meat, although on their website it said that they could not guarantee it! Just loved my experience there and can highly recommend Hakuba Sanso having stayed in countless mountain huts in Japan!

I stayed there for two nights in August. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great during the day, but I was able to enjoy wonderful views for about two hours starting at sunrise. I stayed in a Japanese-style room in Building 2. The bathroom was incredibly clean. The meals were delicious. The panoramic restaurant was lovely, too. There were many staff members, and they were all very kind to me.

The two of us stayed in a compact private room (2 tatami mats). It was quieter than we expected, and we were able to sleep soundly. The staff at the front desk and at Sky Plaza were cheerful and made a great impression. The restroom was surprisingly odor-free—you’d never guess it was in a mountain lodge. We upgraded our dinner to beef stew (+¥3,500 per person), and it was wonderful to be able to enjoy a leisurely meal without worrying about the time while taking in the view from Sky Plaza. I’d definitely like to stay here again.

It was my first time staying at a mountain lodge, but I had a very comfortable stay. It was pouring rain outside, but the Sky Terrace was so cozy that I ended up eating way too much. The dormitory was a large room, but since the beds on either side of me were left empty, it didn’t feel cramped at all. However, the pillows were quite worn out and completely flat, so I think I’ll bring an air pillow with me next time I stay. Both dinner and the breakfast boxed meal were delicious, and I was very satisfied. Thank you very much.

I visited Hakuba Sanso for the first time in seven years. I was surprised to find that I could make a reservation for a high-end dinner at the restaurant, and the meal was absolutely delicious. I stayed in Building 1, but I was impressed to see that the TVs in the lounges of Buildings 2 and 3 had been installed and the restrooms had been renovated. I’d love to visit again.
