Although it’s a small cabin in a tight spot, it doesn’t feel cramped inside. I’ve stayed here many times, and both the staff and the food are great—I always have a wonderful time. The view of Mt. Tsurugi from here is beautiful.

I would like to express my respect for our predecessors who built such a magnificent cabin in this narrow space nestled between the steep cliffs to the north and south. The cabin was spotlessly clean from top to bottom, and although it was described as “old,” I didn’t feel that at all— I think it really helped me unwind. Thank you very much.

It was very clean, and the food was delicious—we really enjoyed it. Since we were a group of women, we all had a bit of trouble changing clothes, and we all agreed it would be nice to have a curtain—even if we had to pay for it.

It was right next to the stairs, right next to the staff room. I could hear the staff room door opening and closing in the middle of the night and early in the morning, and it woke me up every time. I know it can’t be helped, but since there’s a curtain rod, I think it might have helped at least a little if they had put up curtains. The meals were delicious, and I was very satisfied.

Thanks to this cabin, even someone like me who wasn't sure about my stamina was able to complete the Hachimine Kirett. The staff were all very kind. The hamburger steak for dinner was delicious.

I’d like you to give a little more thought to the room assignments. Since the second floor was empty, I would have liked to use a slightly larger space. I’d like some kind of partition, even a simple one like a curtain. I’d also like separate restrooms for men and women. The hamburger steak for dinner was delicious.

I was really put off by the fact that the lodge staff were out drinking with a mountaineering YouTuber until past 11:00 p.m. The next morning, another staff member apologized, but even though the food and service were excellent, this one incident was truly disappointing.
We're sorry for the disturbance late that night. As another staff member mentioned, we should have been more mindful of guests trying to rest at that hour, and we take that to heart. That said, we're glad the food and service otherwise met your expectations, and we thank you for that. We hope to welcome you back to the mountains of Hakuba, in the Japanese Alps.
