The room, the bathroom, and the hallway were all very clean. The bedding was comfortable, too, and we were saying, “This doesn’t feel like a mountain lodge at all.”

I had expected it to be a typical mountain lodge, so I really appreciated having a bath. Two days later, I also stopped by for a day trip to the hot springs. The meals were delicious, too. What really helped was that they disposed of the trash from the bento box I’d had made at Hakuba Oike Sanso. I was very grateful.

I stayed here the night before climbing Mt. Hakuba. The restrooms, baths, and washrooms were all clean. I forgot my fitted sheet, but I was able to purchase one for 1,000 yen. (I reused it the next day at Hakuba Sanso.) Although I stayed in a private room, I appreciated that there were plenty of hangers. Only dinner was served, but it was delicious. If I had to nitpick, the seasoning on the hot pot might have been a little light (?). Perhaps because it was a weekday and there weren’t many guests, I was able to relax and enjoy a peaceful stay. I’d like to come back around July next time. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Since I couldn’t find a shared-room plan with one night’s stay and two meals included when booking online, I requested a boxed lunch. Since breakfast started at 6:00 a.m., I think it would have been nice to have the one-night, two-meals option. By the way, I ate the boxed lunch in the dining hall. Otherwise, I’m satisfied. Thank you very much.
