Since the tent sites are clearly marked, you won’t have any trouble setting up your tent. However, perhaps to allow rainwater to drain away, all the sites I checked—including the one where I set up my tent—sloped toward the valley. You’ll need to be mindful of which way you face when sleeping. Other than that, the restrooms were clean, and hot water was available for purchase even at night. I look forward to staying there again if I have the chance.

The service was great, and the place was clean—I really liked it. I wish there were a little more variety. The curry is super delicious, but I wish there were one more dish besides the miso soup and sausage.

It's really convenient to be able to charge devices in the room, and there's Wi-Fi. It's great that sunlight streams into the drying room and the bathroom. The staff are very friendly, and the service is excellent. I give it a perfect score.

I stayed at a mountain cabin. The interior was very beautiful, it was comfortable, and I could have seconds of the hot rice and miso soup. It was a wonderful mountain cabin.

Thank you very much for your hospitality. Due to the weather, our plans changed several times, but we were finally able to stay at the Goryu Mountain Lodge, a place I’d long dreamed of visiting. It was a wonderful lodge—very clean, and the young staff were kind and friendly. Thank you very much. Since it was my first time, I was scared of the descent and couldn’t eat a thing from the morning onward, so I’m sorry I had to leave some of my meal uneaten. I received advice from a member of the private mountain rescue team before heading down, which put my mind at ease, and I was able to make it down safely, so please convey my thanks to them.

In August, I planned to stay in Hakuba and then head to Ogizawa, but the weather didn’t clear up the next day, so I had to turn back at Goryu Sanso. Since there was a repeat customer discount this time, I thought, “I’m meant to be here!” and was grateful that I could make a second attempt without hesitation. If it hadn’t been for the repeat guest discount, I might have had to wait until next season! Even though it was a weekday, it seemed pretty crowded—the futons were so close to the ones next to me that I had to wear a mask. It was stressful because I couldn’t sleep well—I kept getting bumped by people tossing and turning, and I had to be careful not to disturb them either. I asked for breakfast to be packed as a bento, and it was delicious even when it got cold!

I could really tell how close the staff were, and I thought it was a wonderful mountain lodge. The restrooms were also very clean, which was great. If I had one wish, it would be for a lounge where guests could relax and unwind. The curry for dinner was also very delicious. We were able to finish ours, but the people at the same table left some of theirs because the portions were so large, so I hope they can make some adjustments. The salmon bento we had the next day was also delicious!! I’d definitely like to stay here again, and I’d recommend this mountain lodge to my friends. Thank you very much for your hospitality.
