The facility was kept very clean, and I had a pleasant stay. The staff at check-in were also very kind and accommodating, responding to my last-minute requests. As for the meals, I’d say they were just okay.

There were just two of us in a traditional Japanese-style room designed for four people, but it was spacious enough for four to stay comfortably. The bath was also spacious, and I felt refreshed afterward. The staff were courteous, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The view from the second-floor terrace was lovely, and since we could come and go as we pleased in the nature park at any time, we were able to enjoy the scenery from early in the morning.

The place was spotlessly clean. The dishes were made of ceramic, not plastic. Even though it’s a mountain cabin, it feels just like a traditional inn. The pillows had pillowcases on them, and the futons were nice and fluffy.

While I was having dinner, someone interrupted my conversation with the person sitting in front of me and asked, “Is it okay if I clear away the empty plates?” They also asked, “Is it okay if I take these plates with just a little food left on them?” in a way that made me feel like they were pressuring me, which left a bad taste in my mouth. It was a real shame, especially since it’s such a comfortable place.

It's so great to be able to take a bath at a mountain lodge. I was also surprised to see that the mountain lodge had a trash can. Next time, I'd like to pack a breakfast bento and leave early in the morning.

I had reserved a large Japanese-style room, but since there weren’t many guests, I ended up in a four-person room. The other guests in my room were a group of three people around my age, so I was able to relax without feeling self-conscious. It was hot during the day and I worked up a sweat, so being able to take a bath at the mountain lodge was absolutely wonderful. With such a clean bath and clean restroom, I almost forgot I was at a mountain lodge. However, my body was still hot and flushed from a full day of activity, so I had a hard time falling asleep.

The front desk staff were very helpful and attended to us early in the morning. I was able to enjoy a delicious, leisurely dinner. There seemed to be a lot of international guests, but I didn’t notice anyone speaking loudly. The bath wasn’t very large, but it was comfortable and I was able to relax there. The room had a place to store luggage, and the aisle between the bunk beds was spacious. It was convenient that they provided a packed lunch for the next day.

The building was new, and both the rooms and the dining hall were clean. In the rooms with bunk beds, they had kindly assigned us seniors the bottom bunks. Dinner was also excellent. There was also a bath, which was great. There were two drawbacks: the entranceway where we took off our hiking boots was a bit cramped. Also, out of the three men’s restrooms, one was broken and unusable. Another was a squat toilet, which was difficult for us seniors to use. Overall, it was a good experience.
