I was surprised at how clean the hotel was. It had been since 2019 since I last stayed there. The bathroom and restroom were clean, which was great. The staff was friendly, and the meals were good, too.

My first time at Goryu Mountain Lodge. It had just been rebuilt and was incredibly clean—it even had Washlet toilets, which is an amazing amenity you’d never expect to find in a mountain lodge. But the single-person mattress in my room was way too narrow 💦, and on top of that, there were no partitions and men and women were sharing the same room—it was brutal. Maybe they arranged it so that a woman would be in the next bed, but it was a pretty rough night...

I stayed in the "silkworm rack" room without dinner, using the breakfast bento provided. The assigned sleeping space was about the width of a sleeping bag; I had to squeeze in between the folded futons placed on the mat to sleep, and I had to put my luggage next to my pillow. I don’t recommend it, and I don’t think I’ll use the "silkworm rack" room again if I go back. The packed lunch was different from the photo—it was just salmon. The rice was delicious. Since there are huts that serve only rice balls, this was better by comparison, but because it differed from the photo, I was dissatisfied. The hut was clean, and the amenities were good. However, it seems the bidet in the restroom can’t be used unless the hut’s generator is running.

The food was delicious both for breakfast and dinner, but I wish there had been a little more topping on the curry at dinner. As for the optional lunch box, I would have preferred it to have a bit more vinegar. The cleaning was thorough, and it was great that the restrooms were clean and had almost no odor.

The restrooms and drying room were very clean and comfortable. It would have been nice to have a few more mirrors in the washroom. The staff were polite and kind, which was great.

We camped for ten nights. The sites were separated, so it was nice that we weren't too close to the tent next to us. The restrooms might have been a little far away.

The distance to the neighbor was too close at bedtime. It was uncomfortable because they were using the other room as a spacious space and I felt like I was being treated carelessly.

We stayed at the Gorō Mountain Lodge campground. The lodge attendant was very helpful, and the boxed breakfast we ordered was delicious. Also, the extensive charging facilities were a huge help. Thank you very much.

This was my first time staying in the Japanese-style room here, and just like the restroom, it was very clean. Dinner was curry again this time, but since I like curry, I gave it a positive review. I always use this place as a base for my trips between Oginzawa and Hakuba. I’d like to stay here again.
