The staff were very cheerful and kind, and I had a really pleasant time. The restrooms were clean, too. Personally, I really liked the restroom with the stunning view outside. I was also thrilled to see a supply helicopter.

They accept credit cards. The Wi-Fi in the cabin is fast enough to browse the internet on my smartphone with ease. The restrooms are so clean it’s impressive. The futon I slept on was a bit small. However, the silkworm room had lighting and power outlets, making it comfortable. The curry for dinner was too spicy for me.

The facility was newly built, so it was a pleasant stay. I was really impressed by the modern restrooms. During meals, the staff kept a close eye on things, so getting seconds was a breeze. It’s such a relief not to have to serve myself in the first place. It’s a common occurrence at mountain huts—the hot pot and rice tubs are often right next to other people, after all. It would be perfect if there were a changing room and a space to stretch.

The Washlet was great. The water flow was a bit weak, but since water is a precious resource, that wasn’t a problem. The shared Japanese-style room was newly built and very clean. The futon was about shoulder-width wide. I would have liked it to be a little wider, though. Maybe that’s just standard, though. For dinner, it would be nice to have some snacks to go with drinks in addition to the curry.

I was surprised to find that anyone could easily charge their smartphone for free right outside the lodge (by the entrance). The restrooms were clean and easy to use, which left a great impression on me. All the staff members were kind and made a very positive impression. It would be helpful if the vending machines sold not only water but also sports drinks like Pocari Sweat and Aquarius. I’d definitely recommend this mountain lodge to my fellow hikers. Overall, it’s neat and clean. I was very impressed that the restrooms—despite being in a mountain hut—are equipped with Washlet bidets and feel very clean. I stayed in a private room, which was very clean and even had a power outlet that allowed me to charge my devices directly via USB. The bunk beds have higher ceilings than I expected. Because of this, it might be a bit of a hassle for people on the top bunks to climb up and down. You can charge your devices on the bunk beds, but there aren’t enough outlets for everyone, so please take turns. It might feel a bit cramped when the place is fully booked, but it’s about the standard size for a typical mountain lodge. It’s also great that they sell both water and hot water; being able to buy hot water without having to boil it yourself is very convenient. Dinner was curry, and you could get seconds; the portions were generous, but it would be nice to have a few more variety options. The self-catering area inside the lodge is a bit cramped and can only accommodate about two groups at a time. However, if the weather is nice, you can cook outdoors on the benches, so this might only be an issue when the weather is really bad. I didn’t use the drying room.
