    I stayed in a tent. The receptionist was a foreigner—she wasn’t very good at customer service, but she was trying her best. I opted for a bread boxed lunch, but it was simply awful. There was no manager at the lodge, and the part-time staff were doing a sloppy job. Compared to the lodges in the Hotaka Mountain Range, I can only give this place the lowest rating. Also, the smell from the restroom was wafting through the surrounding area. Can’t something be done about this?

    Maybe they were busy, but the service at the shop was sloppy (they took my money but didn’t give me my items and just walked off). They crammed 5 to 6 people into each guest room booth, and it seemed that some of them were mixed-gender groups.

    The restrooms were clean, which was great. I wish there had been twice as many Western-style toilets.

    It’s a nice, flat campsite with a great view. Since the generator is nearby, you can hear a constant humming sound. When I arrived, tents were set up in three rows, and since there weren’t any good spots left, I pitched my tent all by itself on the inside of the rows, even though I wondered if I might be in the way. Eventually, the arrival of other campers turned it into a fourth row. The restrooms are unisex, but I was glad they were Western-style. As for the water source, while boiling the water is recommended for drinking, it was convenient to be able to fill up whenever I wanted.
