Although the room was fully booked and crowded, since the other guests in the room were around the same age as me, we were able to exchange a variety of information and get to know each other.

① The staff were friendly and welcoming. ② There was a weather information display at the entrance, which was helpful. ③ I received advice on what to do during bad weather from someone who appeared to be a member of the Mountain Rescue Council. (This was helpful information for solo hikers to help them make decisions.)

The food and the staff were great, but I think there’s a problem with the drying room. I arrived soaking wet, but because there were so many people, there weren’t enough places to hang clothes or hangers. It was packed to the brim, and the heater wasn’t very warm, so by morning, my clothes were still barely dry, and I had to put them on as is. Also, since there’s a sink inside the drying room, when it’s packed with people like it was that day, it’s impossible to move around, so I couldn’t use it.

I stayed here in a tent. Since it was around 3:00 p.m., everyone was rushing about, but the male staff member at the front desk took the time to explain everything to me politely despite being so busy, which really put me at ease after arriving completely exhausted. Next time, I’d like to take my time and enjoy a more relaxed stay. Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for your help this time. After confirming with the staff at Renge Onsen that one of our group members had left their cell phone behind, we were informed that it had been returned to them today. I was amazed by how quickly you handled this. Mr. Ichikawa, thank you very much for going out of your way to help us. The person in question is also very happy. This was our second stay at Oike Sanso, and we really appreciated having running water and hot water available at all times. The room was also very comfortable. We also felt reassured by your prompt responses to our email correspondence regarding the cancellation. We would love to stay with you again if the opportunity arises.

On August 21, I fell on a large rock just before reaching the Hakuba Oike Mountain Lodge. Once I arrived at the lodge, the staff examined the condition of my leg and the back of my head. I am also grateful for all the arrangements they made—including canceling my reservation at the summit lodge and contacting Renge Onsen, my descent point—when I decided to cancel the next day’s hike and head down the mountain. Thanks to the thorough taping I received before descending, I was able to make it down on my own, albeit slowly. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the staff members. Thank you very much.
