When I checked in, I accidentally deleted the email with the QR code. I spent a long time trying to find it at the front desk, but it just wouldn’t turn up. In situations like that, I’d really like them to handle it promptly and politely. The staff member was obviously in a bad mood, which made me a little annoyed, too. He was the guy with the afro and long hair!

I stayed there in a tent. The site was neatly leveled, so I was able to pitch my tent with plenty of space and had a comfortable stay. I had previously left my trekking poles behind and had given up hope of getting them back, but a month later I had the opportunity to visit Hakuba again. When I contacted Sarukura-so, they told me they were being held at the Hakuba-kan headquarters. After describing their distinctive features, they confirmed they had found them. I was thrilled to visit the headquarters and have them returned to me. Thank you very much for handling my lost item at that time. I look forward to staying at Hakuba-kan again.

I was surprised to find that the room amenities were even better than I expected! It’s definitely an A-rank mountain lodge. I also really appreciated the unlimited curry refills. It’s great for early risers that the lights come on early in the morning. Thank you very much!

The restrooms were flush toilets—clean, odor-free, and comfortable. It was a new building, and I had a pleasant stay. The staff were young and friendly. The problem is that the rooms are overcrowded and cramped. There are no lounges or break rooms, so there’s nowhere to rest after meals, have tea, or chat. It’s hard to relax in such cramped quarters. The kitchen area is also too small. I’d like to have a shower. Since the rates are fairly high, I’d at least like to be able to use plenty of hot water.

Dinner was delicious, but the portions were large, so it would have been nice to have some options. I really appreciated that there were plenty of outlets in the room. I was impressed by how clean the bathroom and sink area were. I wish the kitchenette were a little bigger—it got pretty crowded once our group was all in there.
