I had originally booked for one person staying in a tent, but at the last minute, another member was able to join, so I added one more person. I requested the addition on-site that day, and in addition to the 3,000 yen per person surcharge, I was charged 2,000 yen for on-site registration fees and other charges, which I paid. I couldn’t find any notice regarding this additional charge, and I’m not sure why it was 2,000 yen. If they’re going to charge this fee, I think they should clearly state it in the “Notes” section when making a reservation change (on the website).

I stayed overnight in a tent at the Hakuba Oike Mountain Lodge. The next morning, I left my tent set up, made a round trip to Mt. Hakuba, and then took my time packing up after I returned. Even though it was crowded during Silver Week, the staff treated me very courteously. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

It was a scenic spot overlooking a large pond. They had made a concerted effort to preserve the surrounding environment, and the area was very well maintained.

I stayed from check-in time until check-out time. Thank you for your hospitality. The food was delicious—I even had seconds of rice. Although the hotel was fully booked, it was a relief that there was a place to store my valuables. I also appreciated being able to choose from two types of breakfast bento boxes. I think I’ll be staying here again.

It was very convenient to be able to use Starlink for free.

Since it was a shared room, I guess it couldn't be helped, but my roommate snored so loudly that I didn't get enough sleep. The hamburger steak for dinner was delicious.

Although we arrived a little earlier than the check-in time, the staff accommodated us, so we were able to set up our tent. After setting up the tent, I headed to Shōrenge, but it started raining on the way down. Since the idea of spending the night in a tent in the rain made me feel uneasy, I asked about room availability at the mountain lodge. They told me there was a vacancy, but as we were talking, the rain let up and the sun began to peek through. Just as I was wondering what to do, they told me, “If camping in the tent becomes too difficult, just let us know anytime,” which put my mind at ease. Thanks to those reassuring words, I managed to spend the night in my tent despite the rain. It was also great to learn all sorts of things about the mountains and mountaineering gear. Since the weather was bad this time and I got tired from carrying so much gear, I wasn’t able to climb Mt. Hakuba, so I’d like to stay here again next time.

I used this site for tent camping. I took a screenshot of the QR code just in case, but it was convenient because I could check in smoothly just by giving my name. The tent site is completely flat and comfortable. I felt completely at ease using it.
