They were supposed to serve breakfast bento boxes on the second and third nights, and I confirmed this at check-in, but I was called in on the evening of the first day to confirm it again and have it corrected. It must have been some kind of mix-up. The customer service itself was good.

Thank you for your hospitality. Even though there was heavy rain and strong winds, I thought it was a beautiful place. I’d love to visit again on a sunny day. The bento was really delicious.

The staff was unfriendly. There wasn't enough rice in the rice bowl for everyone at the table—both at breakfast and dinner. I understand that it's crowded and busy, but I wish they had been a little more courteous.

Since it’s a mountain hut, shared rooms are unavoidable, but if you can’t get enough sleep, it will negatively affect the next day’s hike, so I hope they’ll make improvements—such as increasing the space—sooner rather than later. It was nice that there was a lounge where I could read books and manga about the mountains.

It was a cabin in a place with a wonderful view. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, they’ve been maintaining a rule of one tatami mat per person, so I figured the surge in lodging costs was unavoidable—but even though the place was fully booked, six of us were crammed into a four-tatami-mat space. I could feel the person next to me’s breath on my face and could hardly sleep at all. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. I felt a stark contrast compared to Hakuba Sanso, which charges the same rate.

It has the feel of a traditional mountain lodge. That said, since it’s just room-only, my impressions are limited to the room itself.

Three of us women used the restroom. We shared the second-floor restroom with two other people, but it seems the maximum capacity is six—and I felt it would be pretty cramped with six people. As for the restrooms, when I went into the second one from the back, the door wouldn’t open, so the person in the stall next to me had to open it for me, and I was able to get out safely 💦 I thought I’d closed it normally, but... a friend who went in at a different time said the door seemed hard to open for them, too 😓 Other than that, I was satisfied.
From StaffThank you for staying with us, the three of you together. A room shared with up to six guests must have felt tight at times. We are also sorry that the toilet door would not open properly, which must have been unsettling. We are relieved to hear the rest of your stay went well.
