This is the second year in a row we’ve visited. As always, our time at the hot springs was wonderful. The meat bento we had the next day was delicious, and eating it on our way down the mountain gave us the energy we needed. Thank you very much.

Anyway, the baths are amazing. The selection of light snacks and coffee (instant) is typical of mountain huts, but both the mixed-gender open-air bath and the women’s indoor bath offer stunning views and a wonderful sense of comfort. You can’t see the view outside from the indoor bath unless you stand up, but it’s still fantastic! Also, the hiking trail from Sarukura to Hakuba-Yari Onsen is full of stunning scenery, making this a mountain lodge I’d love to visit again and again.

The hot spring we stopped at during our hike was amazing. However, the water was too hot, so I couldn’t relax for long. Dinner was delicious, and I ended up eating way too much. As for our accommodations, I’m a bit confused as to why the people who arrived later got the better rooms...

It’s great to have a mountain hut at the checkpoint after the climb where you can rest, eat, and even soak in a hot spring to relieve your fatigue.

・I couldn’t find the check-in time on the website, so I arrived early. Although the system wouldn’t let me check in yet, the staff were very kind and accommodating. ・Since I was staying in a tent, I purchased breakfast in the evening for 1,500 yen. The portion was very generous, and it was delicious.

I ended up staying here after mentioning to a friend that I wanted to visit a hot spring on top of a mountain. Initially, I had made a reservation just for my son and me, and since my friend was able to make it work, she booked separately later on. On the day of our stay, however, we were accommodated as a group of three, including my friend, and were shown to a corner of the facility designed for three people, so it felt almost like a semi-private room. The hot spring water was a bit on the hot side, but I would soak while splashing myself with cold water or sit on the edge of the tub to catch the breeze, spending nearly an hour in the bath each time. Of course, the view was spectacular, and I thoroughly enjoyed the sublime experience of soaking in a hot spring in the mountains. My son loves hot springs, so during our two-night stay, he bathed about eight times. He enjoyed it so much that the staff even recognized him, remarking, “You’ve been in there the whole time, haven’t you?” The meals were also very delicious.

The hot springs were amazing. I was looking forward to the foot bath, but it was gone. Breakfast featured salmon as the main dish, and dinner was hayashi rice? There were also hamburger steaks, and my friend who doesn’t eat meat seemed to have a hard time picking the meat out of their dinner. If I had to nitpick, I wish there had been more meal options.

Thank you so much for your hospitality. I was truly impressed by the hearty miso soup served at breakfast. Since it’s hard to get enough vegetables up here in the mountains, I really appreciated it. I also appreciated being able to use the bath from check-in until 7:00 a.m. the next morning—I ended up taking three baths. During my third bath, I was able to see the stars and the sunrise just before dawn, making it an unforgettable experience.
We're delighted to hear our breakfast miso soup, packed with vegetables, left such an impression. We're glad it could help make up for the vegetables that are often hard to come by up in the mountains. It's an honor to hear you were able to enjoy the hot spring three times, and that the third visit brought you an unforgettable moment with the stars before dawn and the sunrise.
