A base for traversing the challenging Hachimine Kiretto ridge

Situated in the core of the Hachimine Kiretto, between two of Japan’s 100 Famous Mountains, Mt. Goryu and Mt. Kashimayari.
After traversing sheer cliffs and exposed ridgelines, the sight of this hut is truly a miracle—made possible by the skill of those who came before.

Built entirely of Kiso hinoki cypress, the structure offers a warm contrast to the harsh alpine terrain, quietly welcoming traversing hikers.
An essential base that supports and sustains life along the Hachimine Kiretto traverse.
