I stayed here while trekking with my wife and children, who had never stayed at a mountain hut before. The facilities were clean, and the staff were kind and attentive, so my wife and children were able to enjoy a comfortable stay. Originally, we had planned to stay one night at Tsugaike Hut and then spend the second night at Hakuba Sanso, but we decided during the hike to turn back at Hakuba Oike and return to Tsugaike Hut, so we ended up staying there for two consecutive nights. Due to this sudden change in plans, we arrived at the last minute on the second day—after 3:00 PM—but I’m very grateful that you were able to prepare a room for us even though it was the very last available one, and that you quickly arranged dinner for us. I’ll definitely stay here again when I plan another trip to the Tsugaike and Hakuba areas.

In preparation for my first climb up Mt. Hakuba, I stayed the night before at the Tsugaike Hut. It was such a wonderful place to stay! The room was clean and comfortable, the bath was relaxing, and all the meals were delicious. After the ropeway stopped running, as the day drew to a close, the view from the window and the quiet moments were a luxurious experience I don’t usually get to enjoy. From check-in to check-out, all the staff members I met were kind, and I was so happy that they looked out for me right up until my departure. It’s a wonderful memory. Thank you very much.

I stayed in the top bunk of a bunk bed. I slept very comfortably. Dinner was delicious, too. The bento box was kind of like a "guy's meal," but it was delicious.

They gave me detailed information about the next day’s hiking trail, and thanks to the delicious meals, clean rooms, and relaxing bath—all of which helped me get in shape for the early morning departure—I was able to set off feeling refreshed.

Thank you so much for your warm hospitality. It’s right next to the ropeway station, close to the trailhead, and the views are amazing 😍 The room was a dormitory-style room with bunk beds, but it had curtains, and there were outlets by the light switches in each space, which was really helpful. The bath was fantastic, too ♪

The facility was kept very clean, and I had a pleasant stay. The staff at check-in were also very kind and accommodating, responding to my last-minute requests. As for the meals, I’d say they were just okay.

There were just two of us in a traditional Japanese-style room designed for four people, but it was spacious enough for four to stay comfortably. The bath was also spacious, and I felt refreshed afterward. The staff were courteous, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The view from the second-floor terrace was lovely, and since we could come and go as we pleased in the nature park at any time, we were able to enjoy the scenery from early in the morning.

This is my second stay at Tsugaike Hutte. As always, the staff were polite and kind. The only difference from my last visit—and my only complaint—is the bath. When I stayed here last time during the late-spring snow season, the bath water was warm and very pleasant, but this time it was lukewarm, and I got cold, so I had to get out and warm myself up under the shower at the sink. I wanted to add more hot water, but there was no faucet near the tub. I thought about it for a moment, but eventually gave up and decided to get out as is. After that, many other guests came to take a bath, so I returned to my room, but I heard people complaining that the water was cold, so I think everyone else was in the same situation.
