4This was my second stay here, and the front desk staff were incredibly kind—it made me feel as warm and welcome as if I’d returned home to the mountains. It was also a huge help that they were able to store my large luggage for me on both check-in and check-out days. The view of the sunrise early in the morning was absolutely breathtaking.
Thank you for staying with us for the second time. Hearing that it felt like coming home to the mountains means more to us than we can say. Thank you also for the beautiful photo of the peaks glowing in the morning light, a view that rewards those who rise early at Tsugaike. 5I stayed here the night before heading to Mt. Hakuba. The staff were kind and helpful, and the entire inn was very clean and well-maintained. Above all, I was so grateful to have a bath—it really warmed both my body and soul. The meals were delicious, too; the dinner in particular was a feast, and the hot pot (the pork was absolutely exquisite!) was especially tasty! I’m also grateful that I was able to have the room all to myself. I’m so glad I had the chance to stay here. If I have the chance again, I look forward to staying with you. Thank you very much.

5For a great value, we were able to spend the night right next to the Nature Park—with two meals included, as well as comfortable, high-end hot springs and beautiful surroundings—allowing us to set out at a leisurely pace the next day for the Hakuba Mountain Lodge.

5I stayed here while trekking with my wife and children, who had never stayed at a mountain hut before. The facilities were clean, and the staff were kind and attentive, so my wife and children were able to enjoy a comfortable stay. Originally, we had planned to stay one night at Tsugaike Hut and then spend the second night at Hakuba Sanso, but we decided during the hike to turn back at Hakuba Oike and return to Tsugaike Hut, so we ended up staying there for two consecutive nights. Due to this sudden change in plans, we arrived at the last minute on the second day—after 3:00 PM—but I’m very grateful that you were able to prepare a room for us even though it was the very last available one, and that you quickly arranged dinner for us. I’ll definitely stay here again when I plan another trip to the Tsugaike and Hakuba areas.

5This was my second time staying here, and just like last time, I used it as a “forward base” for my climb up Mt. Hakuba. Dinner was hot pot, sautéed chicken, and even curry! Breakfast was an exciting buffet! Everything was delicious. The baths were comfortable, and with views of Mt. Korenka and Mt. Hakuba, it’s a place that really sharpens your focus. After admiring the sea of clouds in the morning, I was able to set off feeling refreshed in both body and mind. Thank you so much! I’ll be back!

4The facility was clean, and even though it was on the day of our stay, we were charged almost no cancellation fee for the one-person reduction, so we were very satisfied. The manager’s advice was also spot-on and will be helpful for our next visit.

5In preparation for my first climb up Mt. Hakuba, I stayed the night before at the Tsugaike Hut. It was such a wonderful place to stay! The room was clean and comfortable, the bath was relaxing, and all the meals were delicious. After the ropeway stopped running, as the day drew to a close, the view from the window and the quiet moments were a luxurious experience I don’t usually get to enjoy. From check-in to check-out, all the staff members I met were kind, and I was so happy that they looked out for me right up until my departure. It’s a wonderful memory. Thank you very much.

It felt more like a comfortable ryokan than a mountain hut. We were in a shared room for four people, but since there were only two of us that day, it felt spacious and comfortable. Everything was also very clean and well-maintained. The fried chicken and curry for dinner were delicious. We were also able to take a leisurely soak in the bath.
